Rimac Automobili has announced that the Concept One will be presented at the Salon Prive in September.
After it was officially presented to the public in a world premiere at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Rimac Concept One is once again entering our news, this time with the Croatian based automaker announcing that the supercar will be presented at the Salon Prive too, in September, 2012. According to the small car manufacturer, the Rimac Concept One will make its UK debut at the Salon Prive, an event held in Hyde Park, London.
“We started with a blank sheet of paper. The idea was to create an exceptional supercar with a new propulsion concept. What we have here is a fully-fledged hypercar that is as powerful as a Bugatti, as stylish as a Ferrari and as luxurious as a Mercedes, all while managing to forsake even the tiniest sip of gasoline”, said the 24-year old CEO, Mate Rimac.
The Rimac Concept One is being powered by four electric motors, one for each wheel, which are generating a total output of 1,088 horsepower and an even more impressive amount of torque: 3,800 Nm (3,802 lb-ft), allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 305 km/h (195 mph). Rimac says that the Concept One has a range of 600 km on a single charge (373 miles) and the total weight of the supercar is 1,650 kg. Prices for the supercar will start at 980,000 USD (740,000 euros) and 88 units will be made.
