The small Croatian supercar manufacturer Rimac has recently presented its Concept One in Monaco, where the model has a starting price of 980, 000 USD.
Even if the Rimac Concept One is named a “concept”, the model is already available for sale and for the right amount, 980,000 USD (740,000 euros) in this case, the model can find a new owner. According to the car manufacturer, 88 units of the Rimac Concept One will be produced and each one of them will be available to its future customers for the price tag mentioned above.
The Rimac Concept One has been officially presented to the public back in September 2011, during the Frankfurt Motor Show. The supercar is being powered by four electric motors, one for each wheel, which are generating a total output of 1,088 horsepower and an even more impressive amount of torque: 3,800 Nm or 2,802 lb-ft. The 1,650 kg supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 305 km/h (195 mph).
The Croatian supercar has a range of 600 km on a single charge which is translated into 373 miles and if the price will drop just a tiny bit, Tesla Motors will have to do something else, like an electric powered horse or a diesel microwave.
