Rinspeed has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the MicroMAX Concept, ahead of the model’s public debut scheduled for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
According to the Swiss design and tuning company, the Rinspeed MicroMAX Concept has been led by the company’s boss Frank Rinderknecht and the design of the model is combining public and personal transportation. The Rinspeed MicroMAX Concept is 3.6 meters long (141.7 inches) and 2.2 meters tall (86.6 inches) and the model can be configured for craftsman or delivery services because it has a versatile cabin layout.
“Modern ride share centers nowadays are web-based or Smartphone-based. They operate in real time: You need to go to work on a regular basis or want to go somewhere right now and in no time at all you find the driver that’ll give you a ride. “microMAX” with its unique upright seats is the perfect ‘thing’ for swift short-distance transfers – the car to go with the app”, as Rinderknecht says in the official press release.
The Rinspeed MicroMAX Concept can accommodate up to five people and it also has enough room for a coffee maker, a refrigerator or a shopping cart. The Rinspeed MicroMAX is an electric vehicle but additional details on it will be announced next year in March, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, where the model will make its public debut.
