Roding has recently announced plans to introduce the Roadster model to the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, which will officially open its gates next month.
With the Geneva Motor Show in the 2012 edition coming in pretty fast, every major automaker, tuner and parts supplier is getting ready to attend the event, and with the competition going to Switzerland, Roding couldn’t stay aside. According to Roding Automobile, the Roadster mode, which has been announced to debut in Geneva next month, is actually designed to be the ultimate sports car, coming in with a curb weight of just 950 kg (2,094 lbs), with a removable roof, carbon fiber reinforced plastic and fiberglass body.
“The Roding is a new roadster carbon fiber lightweight design that focuses on the driving experience. On the sixth March is the world premiere of the Roding Roadster at the Motor Show in Geneva. Visit us in Geneva from 8.3 to 3.18 in Hall 1, booth 1033”, as Roding is saying in its official press release.
Under the hood, the Roding Roadster will come with a BMW-sourced six-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is developing a total output of 316 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which is sending power to the rear wheels with the “help” of a limited-slip differential. More details on the model will be announced during the Geneva Motor Show.
