Rolls-Royce Dawn teased prior to IAA debut image

The newest addition to the Rolls-Royce lineup is called the Dawn and it has been teased in the first official images released by the BMW-owned brand.

The introduction of the Rolls-Royce Dawn has been rumored for the past couple of years and it is now closer than ever to being officially unveiled, as the carmaker has released the first teaser images with it. The photos posted below are showing us a part of the interior design, with the Rolls-Royce clock, the air vent, wood and chrome trims and several other goodies.

If you have no idea on what the Rolls-Royce Dawn is really about, we will tell you that this will basically be a convertible version of the Wraith. The luxury cruiser will differ from the Wraith, besides the retractable soft top, by a modified rear end which has been designed to accommodate it, so expect the “usual” luxury features and safety systems found on the Wraith.

Rumor has it that the new Rolls-Royce Dawn will get a 6.6 liter twin turbo V12 engine under its hood, which will be capable of putting down no less than 624 HP (465 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. This is the same engine found on the Wraith which is helping it reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 seconds. The Dawn will be slightly slower, however. The newest Rolls-Royce vehicle will be making its public debut in less than a couple of weeks, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
