Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II gets price drop in Australia

Rolls-Royce has announced that the Phantom Series II has dropped its price in Australia by 280,000 USD.

According to the British based automaker, the regular Phantom now costs 855,000 AUD from 1,075,000 AUD, the Phantom Extended Wheelbase gets a 260,000 AUD price drop to 990,000 AUD while the Coupe can now be bought from 995,000 AUD compared to the previous 1,260,000 AUD. The Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe has also dropped its price in Australia by 280,000 AUD and it can now be bought from 1,075,000 AUD.

Basically what Rolls-Royce did was to drop a brand new Mercedes-Benz S-Class from the price of the luxurious vehicle after the company’s sales have dropped by 21 percent year on year, while the main rival, Bentley, has seen a 12 percent growth. The key mechanical change for the Phantom range is the introduction of the brand new ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, which is replacing the old one, improving fuel economy and cutting down on CO2 emissions on the 338 kW V12 engine by 10 percent. The Phantom has also gained a multi camera system, a redesigned multimedia controller, a new sat-nav system with an 8.8-inch display and new LED headlights.
