The faith of the Rolls-Royce SUV will be decided this year as the company’s officials will sit down and take into consideration just about every possible scenario.
Over these past few years, ever since the EXP 9 F Concept has been shown, rumors on Rolls-Royce putting it into production have been quite a lot and reports were indicating that “next year” would be the perfect time to do it. But time has passed and the luxury car manufacturer still hasn’t taken a decision into putting the SUV into production or not, but this will apparently be made this year.
According to a recent report published by Automotive News Europe, a decision into the future of the Rolls-Royce SUV will be taken this year as the company is still analyzing the prospects of entering this segment. Even if it will be green lighted, the Rolls-Royce SUV will be heading towards production in the next few years and the model is not expected to be launched earlier than 2017 or even 2018.
The Rolls-Royce SUV has been already caught on camera by our spy photographers. The model will ride on the MLB Evo platform, shared with the A7’s new generation and other SUVs created under the watch of the VW Group. Power will be provided by a W12 engine, which will make it the fastest SUV on the market, but a plug-in hybrid version is also expected. Prices for the model will start from approximately 164,000 euros, if all will go as planned.
