One of the most awaited SUVs from the luxury segment, the one created by Rolls-Royce, will hit the market sometimes in 2017, according to a new report.
Bentley has confirmed the launch of its own SUV in 2016 and Rolls-Royce couldn’t stay away from this segment either, announcing a rival which will go on sale in late 2017. According to a report made by Autocar, after speaking with Giles Taylor, the company’s design boss, the model in question will have some similar bits and pieces with the future Ghost generation rather than being based on the Phantom, putting an end to rumors saying that the Rolls-Royce SUV will be based on the BMW X7.
The Rolls-Royce SUV will be one of the most, if not the most, expensive vehicles in its segment as our source is reporting that the model will cost more than 200,000 GBP once it will go on sale. Original rumors were saying that the luxury vehicle will be aimed to wealthy customers in their 30s or 20s, but judging by what components it will use, the model will most likely make its way into private collections and used with a chauffeur. Additional details on the Rolls-Royce SUV remain unknown for the moment.
