Rolls-Royce has officially announced its plans to introduce the new Wraith Drophead Coupe, over the next couple of years.
The Rolls-Royce lineup will soon be expanded with the addition of the convertible version of the already available Wraith. The model in question has been named the Wraith Drophead Coupe and it has been officially announced by the car manufacturer.
“The announcement of a new Rolls-Royce model is always a seminal moment in the automobile industry. This is currently undergoing a rigorous process of prototype testing as it enters its next stage of development”, said the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars chairman, Peter Schwarzenbauer, referring to the model mentioned above.
As expected, the new Rolls-Royce Wraith Drophead Coupe will come with the same touches as its solid roof brother. Power will most likely be provided by the same engine too, which is coming in the shape of a 6.6 liter V12 twin turbo engine. The unit is producing a total output of 632 HP (465 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes just 4.6 seconds. The expected starting price of the Rolls-Royce Wraith Coupe will stand at approximately 250,000 GBP. You can read our review of the Rolls-Royce Wraith here.
