The first render with the so-called Rolls-Royce Wraith Drophead has hit the web and it might just provide us with a first look into a new version of the model.
Rolls-Royce has already pulled the wraps off the new Wraith Coupe just a few months ago but the British based automaker may surprise us once again by developing a convertible version of the model. Such a vehicle hasn’t been officially announced just yet but that didn’t stop on paper. According to our source, the new Wraith Drophead has some serious changes of hitting the production line, once the company will pull the plug on the Phantom Drophead.
The regular Rolls-Royce Wraith Drophead has been officially presented to the public a few months ago, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The model in question is the company’s most powerful production car and it’s powered by a 6.6 liter V12 engine. The total output produced by the unit stands at 624 HP and 800 Nm of torque. These are sent to the ground through an eight-speed ZF transmission, which is allowing the Wraith Coupe to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.4 seconds. Prices for the luxury model start at 300,000 USD.
