The most powerful Rolls-Royce ever, the Wraith, has been recently launched in India, where the model will set you back for Rs 4.6 crore.
The Rolls-Royce Wraith is 130mm shorter than the regular Ghost, it has a 40mm wider track in the rear, 43mm lower height and it’s riding on a 183mm shorter wheelbase. The suspension system has been stiffened to minimize the body roll and to ensure a better sense of feedback in cornering. The steering is also heavier at high speeds and lighter at low speeds, encouraging spirited driving.
“While the Wraith does push the brand in a new direction, evolving it in a way that we hope will attract new, perhaps younger customers, it is still a Rolls-Royce, and the ‘bed of air’ ride our customers expect is still uppermost in the car’s DNA”, said the Rolls-Royce boss, Muller-Otvos.
The Wraith is powered by a 6.6 liter V12 engine, which is good for 624 HP and 800 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the wheels through and eight-speed ZF transmission. The 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint takes 4.4 seconds. The Rolls-Royce Wraiths has been officially presented to the public during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, back in March.
