The Romanian Police Department will get a Lotus Evora S for two years, being the third country in the world to get this model from the British manufacturer, after UK and Italy.
Even though it doesn’t sound real we can be sure it’s not an April Fool’s joke or an error in the Lotus marketing department and the newest product of the Hethel plant will be seen on the streets of Romania.
According to the auto maker, the 350 horsepower car will be used in patrol and rapid intervention missions.
The Romanian General Police Department will get the keys for the new Lotus during a special event which will take place at the Forza Rossa official dealership next week.
The Lotus Evora S supercar has 350 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. The Evora’s top speed is 280 km/h.
The only question remains how will the Romanian Police Department decide who is going to drive the supercar? Maybe they’ll draw straws.
