A new report is indicating that the upcoming generation of the BMW 7-Series will give birth to a new range-topping version, a true M7.
Rumors on BMW finally developing a true M7 variant have been around for quite a few years now and even if the German based automaker is currently denying such a vehicle, a new report is indicating that the upcoming generation of the flagship model will sport a true M7. Such a model is very plausible considering the fact that Mercedes-Benz has the S63 AMG and that Audi has the S8. The new BMW M7 will easily stand out from a crowd as this will be getting a new aerodynamic body kit which will make it look more aggressive than the standard car.
According to the guys from Autobild, the BMW M7 is believed to get new side skirts, a new rear diffuser and the same exhaust system which is currently found on the M5 / M6 Gran Coupe. Power is expected to be provided by a 4.4 liter V8 twin turbo petrol burner, which is capable of producing 560 HP (412 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) on the M5, but on the M7 this is said to generate more than 600 HP and to be connected to a double clutch transmission. Rumor has it that the M7 will be officially unveiled sometimes next year and that it should be priced around 140,000 euros. More details on the new range-topping version of the 7-Series are limited at this time.
