Safest cars of 2012 announced by Euro NCAP

The safety specialists at Euro NCAP have recently announced the safest cars of 2012 in each segment, after they have tested a total of 36 new vehicles.

If you’re looking into a new car and you’re concerned with its safety than you have come to the right place because Euro NCAP has recently announced the list with the safest cars of 2012, in each segment. Most of the 36 vehicles tested last year by Euro NCAP performed well and managed to achieve a five-star safety rating, but in the end, the safety assist system made the difference. Below, you can find the list with the safest cars of 2012 tested by Euro NCAP.

Large Family Car – BMW 3-Series (320d tested)
Small MPV – Fiat 500L (1.4 petrol, Easy, 4×2 tested)
Small MPV – Ford B-Max (1.5 diesel, Trend tested)
Small Off-Road 4×4 – Ford Kuga (2.0 diesel, Trend tested)
Business and Family Vans – Ford Transit Custom (2.2 diesel, Trend Kombi tested)
Large Off-Road 4×4 – Hyundai Santa Fe (2.2 diesel, 5-seat, Comfort tested)
Supermini – Renault Clio (1.0 base grade tested)
Small Family Car – Volvo V40 (1.6 diesel, Kinetic, tested)
