The South Korean automaker has showed its appreciation for the Sao Paolo Motor Show taking place in Brazil by introducing the new Creta STC pickup concept there.
In time for the Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil, the carmaker decided to reinterpret its compact Creta crossover into the Creta STC (Sport Truck Concept) which has the same styling as the road-going Creta SUV – also known as the ix25 – but with the utility of a light pickup. It’s 4.65 meters long (183 inches), so it has enhanced dimensions compared to the regular Creta, with the wheelbase also surging from 2.59 meters (101 inches) to 2.80 meters (110 inches) – and also features concept cues such as a set of 21-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli 295/40 R21 Scorpion Zero tires.
It was penned by the Hyundai Design Center in South Korea, but it also had input from Hyundai Motor Brazil’s area development specialists to specify the concept for the Brazilian market. The Creta STC has new features like LED headlights, a reworked front end and a more prominent grille. There’s also an ergonomic bed, with a set of speakers, power outlets, and a number of storage compartments.
