Unfortunately, that’s going to be quite hard – you lack the proper training and your vehicle of choice for now only exists in the real world as 1/10-scale model, crafted by Polish design firm 2sympleks.
Their idea for the Surgo Mountain Rescue Vehicle concept is simple and positive – save lives, and for that it needs great capabilities. It’s a high-riding SUV designed to take up to eight rescuers, and also all the necessary safety equipment – the concept has actually been enhanced with ideas from real-world safety teams in Poland to make sure it tops the chart in terms of functionality. The Surgo Mountain Rescue Vehicle concept is of course designed to go everywhere, with four-wheel steering, very narrow front end, lockable suspension and approach and departure angles of nearly 90 degrees.
The design team hasn’t mentioned the powertrain, but from renders of the interior we clearly see a manual gearbox and differential controls. The driver gets an uncluttered view, while the person next to him does the navigation – and the six additional seats in the back can fold flat to allow the fitment of stretchers. Interestingly, this is not the first time 2sympleks created a professional off-roader – next to the Surgo sits in one of the pictures the Tur (in red), designed to fight forest fires and other similar stuff.
