The 1988 model year Callaway Corvette included just 105 examples, and now one of them has popped up on eBay in almost new conditions and with very low mileage on the odometer.
Back in 1987 the Callaway aftermarket specialist turned its attention to the Chevrolet Corvette – and because of the Regular Production Option (RPO), Callaway was able to deliver the first biturbo Corvette package for the C4, which was sold directly through Chevrolet dealers as a factory option. Of course just select Chevy dealers offered the special edition Callaway Corvette C4 between 1987 and 1991. The 1988 model year specifically had a limited number of vehicles of just 125 biturbo Corvettes, with 105 of them packing the RPO B2K option which included more horsepower and some other amenities.
The example on sale on eBay has accumulated just 10,785 miles in its lifetime, because most of its 28 years of life were spent in the confines of a climate-controlled garage. The Callaway biturbo V8 packs 420 horsepower (313 kilowatts) with the Heavy Duty Wonderbar, a Callaway AeroBody kit, as well as wheels, taillights, hood, and the central exhaust tips added at the Callaway facility in Old Lyme, Connecticut, alongside the front and rear Brembo brakes and coilover suspension.
