Scion has recently announce its 10-year anniversary celebration with five special edition models, during the 2013 New York Auto Show.
The Toyota owned brand is playing in the big league now and after launching the FR-S sports car, based on the Toyota GT 86, in the United States, last year, time has come for the carmaker to celebrate its 10th anniversary. According to the car manufacturer, a total of 5 special edition models will be made for the company’s 10th anniversary and they will arrive in dealerships in June.
“The Scion 10 Series celebrates 10 years of the brand’s passionate approach, iconic products and success inviting a new, younger buyer to the Toyota family. Scion heads into its second decade revved up by a strong product line that continues to stand out on the road”, said the vice president of Scion Division for Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., Doug Murtha.
The special editions will come in Silver Ignition and they will be equipped with LED-infused logos, illuminating when the car is unlocked. The models will also get silver seat belts, solar-powered illuminated shift knob, revised instrument cluster display and some other tweaks. The models will arrive in the company’s dealers in June and production will be limited to 10,000 units. Additional details on these models will be announced close to their launch.
