Scion unveils xD rally car

Scion has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the xD rally car, which will compete in the Rally America National Championship.

According to the car manufacturer, the Scion xD rally car is coming with a raise ride height, with a new front bumper, with off-road tires, with a lot of LED lights and with Brembo brakes. The interior of the model hasn’t been left unchanged either and in fact Scion says that it has been striped and fitted with a roll cage, with a digital instrument cluster and with Sparco seats.

“Scion Racing is ready and thrilled to be a part of the 2013 Rally America National Championship. The combination of the xD subcompact, a top-notch team race team and one of rally’s best drivers, Andrew Comrie-Picard, is sure to create a competitive and exciting series”, said the Scion marketing and special events manager, Steve Hatanaka.

For obvious reasons, Scion didn’t announce any performance details on the xD rally car. The racer will make its debut on the 25th of January at the Sno*Drift Rally and it will also be part of the 2013 Rally America National Championship, with Andrew Comrie Picard behind the wheel.
