The boutique automaker is preparing us for the arrival of its latest creation – a $400k supercar with the interesting three-seat layout that was made famous by the British machine.
Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus’ SCG003 is a $2 million monster, so there are chances very few people in the world will afford one – but a $400,000 supercar is a different dish altogether. Actually it’s not, since you still need buckets of cash for it – you just don’t need a truck worth of it. Anyways, what we have here is a 650-horsepower, high-revving engine supercar, with customers – as the teasers of the interior clearly show – allowed to go for the vintage six-speed manual with a gated shifter instead of the modern automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
SCG add their new ride is a “Very Light Weight Sports Car” thanks to lots of carbon fiber in the body and chassis – and the 1,100 kg (2,425 lbs) machine, capable of a full 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) maximum torque is also getting different versions, topped by a Competizione. The exterior teaser doesn’t show a great many details, with sharp-edge styling a large spoiler across the entire bumper area at the front. Inside there’s more to see, with a three-seat layout in the same vein as the legendary McLaren F1 and a minimalist, spartan arrangement with retro flavor – old-school steering wheel and large gauges, and a digital screen only available for the hardcore Competizione.
