The Spanish based automaker Seat has released the first details on the creation of the recently unveiled 20V20 Concept.
Do you remember the Seat 20V20 Concept which has been unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, back in March? Well, sure you do, especially if you are a constant reader of automotive news and know that Seat is planning to introduce its first ever production crossover. But what if that crossover would have a lot of things in common with the 20V20?
“The most satisfying aspect of my job is that I get to follow the process of creating the car at every stage, and pay close attention to every detail. First you see it on paper, then as a virtual mockup, and when it finally takes shape is the moment of greatest satisfaction”, he concludes. It is really amazing to find out what goes on behind the scenes that takes an initial sketch drawn by the seashore all the way to a showcar, a model that is unique in the world”, said Angel Lahoz.
Seat says that a team of 15 people has spent a lot of time creating this one-off model from scratch. The Color & Trim design team has travelled to Barcelona in order to gather ideas for the colors and finishes and the orang shade was chosen after the carmaker tried 96 different ones. The 20V20 will serve as a preview for the final production of the Seat crossover which is expected to be officially unveiled sometimes in 2016 and it is said to ride on the MQB platform. Additional details on it remain unknown at this time.
