The new Seat Ibiza Cupster Concept has been officially unveiled, in a premiere, during the Worthersee 2014.
Seat’s newest creation is named the Ibiza Cupster Concept and this has been created in order to celebrate the model’s 30th anniversary. The model in question is basically a “pocket rocket” which hhas been based on the Ibiza Cupra, coming in a two-seat roadster design, with a unique rear end and a chopped off windshield. The exterior design of the car is getting a New Orange paint job and new 18-inch alloy wheels.
“With its flat silhouette, powerful proportions and low seating position, the Cupster is the resolute embodiment of Seat’s dynamic brand values. In design and in sporting character, the Cupster is the ultimate Ibiza variant – and it delivers driving joy in its purest form”, said Matthias Rabe, the company’s VP of Research and Development.
The interior design has added the black Alcantara racing seats, the pure aniline leather steering wheel and some other tweaks, which will help it stand out from a crowd. As far as the engine goes, this is a 1.4 liter four-cylinder TSI unit, which is producing a total output of 180 HP (132 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is connected to a 7-speed DSG transmission, which is allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7 seconds.
