The Spanish automaker has decoded to officially reveal the all-new Ateca – their first ever SUV – with the usual FR amenities, which are the Seat counterparts for the Volkswagen R-Line trimmings.
The carmaker will first showcase in public the Ateca FR in Barcelona next month, and since we already know the story from the other models in the Seat family, this is not the smoking tires high-performance SUV, but a sporty designed trim level, which comes to complement the flagship XCellence range. The Ateca FR does have new designs for the bumpers, a glossy black radiator grille, exclusive LED fog lamps, and FR logos all around. Most likely the first thing to pop up will be the massive set of 19-inch alloy wheels sporting 245/40 tires, while the off-road ideas will be quenched by the body color matching side skirts and wheel arches.
Moving inside the cabin, the FR logos are again to be found on the aluminum door thresholds and the sporty leather steering wheel, while the trim also brings standard Alcantara-upholstered sports seats, aluminum pedals, and piano-black trim on the center console. But thankfully this is not only show without extra go, because the Spanish brand is also premiering a new 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine delivering 190 horsepower (142 kilowatts) to a six-speed manual or DSG, as well as front-wheel drive or an optional AWD system.
