Seat has recently announced the opening of the order books for the new Leon Ecomotive in the United Kingdom, where first deliveries of the car will begin in January, 2014.
According to the car manufacturer, the Seat Leon Ecomotive version will be available on all three body styles, the regular hatchback, the SC and the ST Estate. The cheapest version of the model will set you back for 19,360 GBP, on the SC, 19,660 GBP on the five-door hatchback, and 20,485 GBP on the ST. The official prices of the model make it cheaper than the Golf, which has a base entry-level starting price set at 20,335 GBP.
The new Seat Leon Ecomotive is actually based on the SE equipment level so expect features like the four electric windows (except for the SC, of course), air conditioning, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, SEAT Easy Connect multimedia system or Bluetooth, amongst others. The Seat Leon Ecomotive is powered by a 1.6 liter TDI diesel engine, producing 109 HP, mated to a long-ration 6-speed manual transmission. The model has received a body kit, which makes it 10 percent more slippery than its predecessor, the suspension sits 15 mm lower and the car is riding on low rolling resistance tires.
