Seat is getting ready to officially pull the wraps off the new Leon ST Cupra, as the model in question has been already caught on camera by our spy photographers.
The 2015 Seat Leon ST Cupra will hit the market sometimes next year and the model is believed to get a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine under its hood, which will produce approximately 268 HP. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet but according to reports, the new Leon ST Cupra will become available with 3 or 5 doors and, as you are probably expecting, it will be offered with front-wheel drive.
The standard versions of the Cupra hatchback and ST are believed to be topped by an even more powerful Cupra R variant which is said to be as powerful as the new Audi S3, VW Golf R or Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG. This should get a total output of 300 HP sent to its all-wheel drive through a DSG transmission. Sadly we have no more details on the new Seat Leon ST Cupra, or on its more powerful Cupra R brother, but these will probably be announced in 2014, during a major automotive event, like Geneva in March or even Paris in September.
