Our spy photographers have managed to capture the new Seat SUV on camera once again, this time in the Austrian Alps, while it was being tested out.
Seat has used the Austrian Alps to test its SUV before they will get closed for the winter break. The development of such a model is not a surprise anymore as numerous reports and rumors have appeared on it over the last few months. The vehicle in question will be based on the Seat Leon and this means that it will be riding on the same MQB platform, which is also used on numerous vehicles currently developed under the close watch of the Volkswagen Group.
The ne Seat SUV will be similar in size to the Nissan Qashqai and its styling will be inspired by the Leon FR hatchback, coming in with flat wheel arches, with plastic body cladding, silver roof rails, LED headlights and several other tweaks which will be making it instantly recognizable. As far as the engine lineup goes, chances are the units from the Leon will be carried over to the model. A concept version of the Seat SUV is expected to be introduced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, but the final production version of the model will be arriving in showrooms in 2016.
