The French rally driver Sebastien Loeb has recently announced that he will temporarily quit the WRC and his Citroen DS3 to compete in the France GT Championship behind the wheel of a powerful Ferrari 458 Italia, for AF Course team on the Paul Ricard circuit.
“I’m engaging into this race with a clear objective, namely to fight for at least one place on the podium. I love the circuit, the team and with this new car we have a real chance to be first”, said the Frenchman.
Sebastien Loeb will compete on the Ferrari 458 Italia at the end of October during the last stage of the France GT Championship which will take place on the Paul Ricard circuit. The seven time WRC world champion will compete for AF Course team and his teammate’s name will be announced shortly.
The AF Course is one of the best teams of the championship and managed to win the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup on the GT class. Sebastien Loeb isn’t a rookie in this championship and he raced here in the past too behind the wheel of a Ferrari 430.
