New renderings with the BMW i3’s final production version have recently hit the market and they are showing the model with a more conservative style.
After it was officially unveiled just a week ago, in a world premiere, the brand new BMW i3 is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of two renderings, posted by Theophilus Chin. The two images posted below are showing the model in a more traditional way, but keep in mind that the model as we see it here will most likely never hit the production line.
As a quick reminder, the final production version of the BMW i3 is getting an internal combustion engine, which is acting as a generator, producing 170 HP and 184 lb-ft of torque, and a synchronous electric motor, developed and produced by the company. The hybrid powertrain is “helped” by a 22 kWh lithium-ion battery. The new i3 is using an aluminum chassis and a CFRP passenger cell. The model in question will go on sale over the following months and its starting price has been set at 34,950 euros in Germany and 41,350 dollars in the U.S.
