MG has recently pulled the wraps off the European version of the MG3, during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, in a world premiere.
The Euro-spec MG3 has been already announced for the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, and the model is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker officially unveiling it, during the Chinese automotive event. According to the car manufacturer, the MG3 will become available only on the European market and its future customers will be able to order it later on this year. The MG3 will hit the market in three trim levels, the TS1, the TS2 and the TS3, and the model should have a more premium cabin compared to the Chinese version.
The MG3 only has a five-door body style and it’s powered by a four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, which is good for 105 HP (77 kW), mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The MG3 is a direct rival for models like the MINI, the Citroen DS3 or the Vauxhall Adam, as the UK MG sales and marketing chief, Guy Jones, recently announced. The MG3 is 4,015 mm long, 1,728 mm wide and 1,520 mm tall, with a 2,520 mm long wheelbase. Its price list is expected to start at 10,000 HBP (11,600 EUR / 15,200 USD).
