The Japanese based automaker Suzuki has brought the Authentics Concept to the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, where the model has been unveiled in a premiere.
After it was teased just a few weeks ago, the Suzuki Authentics Concept is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker pulling the wraps off its body during the Chinese automotive event. Suzuki says that the Authentics Concept will become the foundation for a C-segment model which the carmaker is planning to launch on the Chinese auto market.
“Suzuki plans to produce and distribute the production model based on “AUTHENTICS” by the end of 2014 at its joint venture in China, Chongqing Changan Suzuki Automobile Co., LTD. Also, by distributing the “SX4 S-CROSS” (Chinese spec), which will be produced from the end of 2013 at the same joint venture, Suzuki will seek to expand its shares in China”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
The Suzuki Authentics Concept has a lowered height, a long wheelbase, sporty character lines, curved surfaces and some other tweaks and these are expected to influence the next generation of the Kizashi. You can check out the Suzuki Authentics Concept in the photo gallery and video posted below.
