Shelby American announcing two models for NAIAS debut image

Shelby American has recently announced plans to debut two new models during the 2013 NAIAS in Detroit.

According to the car company, the first model to make its debut during the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit will be the 2013 Super Snake, which will come with a wide body kit and other interesting features amongst others. The second model to make its way to the North American automotive event from Shelby American is being kept into the shadows for the moment and the company is trying to surprise everyone.

The 2013 Super Snake is a package applied onto the 2013 Ford Mustang GT500 which is adding a fiberglass hood, a sport tuned suspension, an upgraded cooling system, Wilwood brakes, 20-inch alloy wheels and more. Changes in the cabin include the embroidered headrests and floor mats and stop here. The model in question is available in two versions, where the entry-level is coming with a 5.8 liter supercharged V8, producing a total output of 662 HP (494 kW) and 855 Nm (631 lb-ft), while the most powerful version is adding a Whipple or Kenne Bell supercharged and it’s developing 850 HP (634 kW). Prices for the model start at 28,995 USD and production is limited to 500 units.
