Shelby GT350 Mustang to end production this year image

The team at Shelby has recently announced its plans to end the production of the GT350 Mustang by the end of 2013, in order for the muscle car to make room for the future generation of the model.

Shelby will pull the plug on the current GT350 Mustang, by the end of this year, a decision taken in order to make room for the 2015 Mustang, which should make its way onto the market sometimes in 2014. The demand for the muscle car is still strong, as the company has recently announced, but this action will prepare the road for the 2015 Mustang.

“The demand for the Shelby GT350 continues to be strong and this decision in no way indicates a lack of interest”, said John Luft, the Shelby American president, to Motor Trend.

Ordering the current Shelby GT350 Mustang, in aspirated form, will set you back for 26,995 USD, and for the money you will get 450 HP. Choosing the supercharged version means that you will have to pay 33,995 USD, but you will enjoy 624 HP. The Mustang GT350 is coming in 350 units annually and it needs just 3.7 seconds to sprint from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h).
