Skoda has just revealed the first image with the five-door version of the Citigo model, ahead of its 2012 Geneva Motor Show debut.
After the Volkswagen mother-brand has revealed the five-door Up! not too long ago, Skoda has taken a step forward and it has introduced the Citigo with the same number of doors as the model which is based on. According to the Czech based automaker, the five-door version of the Skoda Citigo will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, between 8 and 18th of March.
As you can see from the image posted above, the two cars, the Citigo and the Up! are almost the same and there is almost no difference between them even from the side view. The Skoda Citigo five-door is expected to be powered by a 1.0 liter three-cylinder engine, which will come in two configurations, 60 horsepower and 75 horsepower, and even if there is no official word on this, the RS version might be powered by a 1.0 liter TSI engine, the same one used on the Up! GT. Just like its German brother, the Skoda Citigo will also come in a “green” version, which will burn just 4.1 liters of fuel in an average cycle every 100 km, while emitting 96 g of CO2 per km.
