The Skoda Fabia with the 3 millionth number “on it” has just rolled off the company’s assembly line in Mlada Boleslav, marking the vehicle’s success since it was launched back in 1999.
“Thirteen years ago, the vehicle marked another milestone for our company as the third model series at the time. Since we have not just produced three million Skoda Fabias, but also more than doubled the annual sales of our entire model range. These figures are a powerful testimony to the success of the model in the international markets and to the development of the brand”, said the company’s chariman of the board, Winfried Vahland. “The Skoda Fabia has a great share in Skoda’s fast success story and plays a central role for our Growth Strategy 2018 as well”, added Vahland.
Skoda says that that the 3 millionth Fabia has rolled off the assembly line in Mlada Boleslav and a total of 1,211,937 units of the second generation of the model have been manufactured, along with 1,788,063 units of the first generation. The Skoda Fabia is the company’s second most successful vehicle after the Octavia and the second-gen of the model has been introduced in 2007, with a refresh given in 2010.
