The Czech based automaker Skoda is planning to introduce its Octavia III in 2012, which will be based on the VW Golf VII.
According to the Romanian website autolatest.com, Skoda is close to launching the new generation of the Octavia and with the upcoming North American International Auto Show, the carmaker might introduce its latest creation at the event. Even if there aren’t any official details on the new generation of the Skoda Octavia, the model is expected to come with a choice of several petrol and diesel engines (TSI / TDI) which will allow the Czech vehicle to compete against the Opel Insignia, the Renault Laguna or the Ford Mondeo.
Our source is also telling us that the Skoda Octavia III will be more luxurious than the current generation in order for the vehicle to compete on the same level with the models mentioned above. Rumors say that the upcoming Skoda Octavia III has a lot of chances of competing with models of the Volkswagen Group, like the VW Passat, VW Jetta or the Seat Exeo. Sadly we don’t have any extra details on the upcoming Skoda Octavia III, but the Czech based automaker might surprise everyone and present the model at an international auto show, like the NAIAS, in January 2012.
