The Czech based automaker Skoda has recently announced a new milestone at its Mlada Boleslav facility where 15 million cars have been produced in more than 100 years of existence.
After Skoda has started manufacturing cars back in 1905 at Mlada Boleslav, in the Czech Republic, almost 107 years later, the car manufacturer has made 15 million vehicles at its facility. According to the company, the 15 millionth car to roll out in Mlada Boleslav was a 2014 Skoda Octavia, which was the most successful model in the company’s history, with a whopping 4 million units sold worldwide and one of the 10 best selling cars globally.
As a quick reminder, the the new generation of the 2014 Skoda Octavia has been unveiled a few months ago and the model is riding on the same MQB modular platform as other models in the Volkswagen Group, like the 2013 Audi A3, 2013 Seat Leon, VW Golf 7 and more. The model is coming with an updated exterior design and new materials for the cabin. As for the engine lineup, the Indian variant of the 2014 Skoda Octavia is expected to get different unit choices compared to the version offered across the Old Continent.
