The Czech based automaker Skoda has recently announced a new milestone after 15 million cars have been produced over its entire history.
According to the car manufacturer, the company has managed to produce 15 million cars throughout its history. Skoda says that the model 15 millionth model to roll out the Mlada Boleslav facility is the brand new Octavia generation, which will be kept within the company and it will be used as a VIP vehicle in the Technology Center of Cesana. The Skoda Octavia is the most successful model in the company’s history, with 4 million units sold worldwide.
As a quick reminder, the new generation of the Skoda Octavia, which is wearing the 2014 model year in its name, has been officially unveiled just a few months ago. The model is riding on the MQB modular platform made by the VW Group and used on models like the VW Golf 7, the 2013 Seat Leon or the new Audi A3. The 2014 Skoda Octavia is coming with an updated exterior design, with new materials used in the cabin and with a new engine lineup, partially shared with the one found on the new Golf 7.
