The Czech based automaker Skoda has officially presented to the public the brand new Octavia RS 230 as it made its debut during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

Skoda couldn’t stay away from the 2015th edition of the Geneva Motor Show and it has pulled the wraps off the new Octavia RS 230, in a premiere. The model in question is basically a limited edition which is bringing features such as the standard electronically controlled differential front axle lock, capable of enabling “dynamic cornering”, as the company is stating.

“The SKODA Octavia RS 230 is the brand’s first car to feature electronically controlled front axle inter-wheel lock as standard – a feature that is particularly well suited to dynamic cornering. Market launch of the Octavia RS special edition will be in June 2015”, says the carmaker in its official press release.

Power to the brand new Skoda Octavia RS 230 is being provided by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder TSI turbocharged engine, connected to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DSG. This is capable of sending a total output of 230 HP (169 kW), making t 10 HP (7 kW) more powerful than the standard car. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the model needs 6.7 seconds, a 0.1 second improvement, and top speed has also increased to a total of 250 km/h (155 mph), from 248 km/h (154 mph). Other changes are noticeable on its exterior, in the front and rear bumpers, in the small rear wing, in the rear diffuser or the dual exhaust setup. The vehicle will go on sale in June.
