The Skoda Octavia RS 230 Special Edition has been unveiled over the web and it will be officially presented to the public at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
Skoda is currently updating its entire lineup and after officially pulling the wraps off the new Superb flagship generation just a few days ago, time has come for the Czech based automaker to introduce the Octavia RS 230 Special Edition. The newest member to the Octavia family has received some exterior modifications which can be seen in the front bumper, in the rear bumper, in the rear diffuser which now has a dual exhaust setup and in the small rear wing.
Besides the exterior modifications, the brand new Skoda Octavia RS 230 Special Edition has also received the 2.0 liter turbocharged gasoline burner under its hood. This has a bumped output of 10 HP (7 kW), which may be modest but it will still catch the attention of the company’s fans. The total output produced by the unit is now standing in at 230 HP (169 kW). From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the limited edition of the Octavia RS needs just 6.7 seconds, a 0.1 seconds improvement compared to the standard model. Top speed has also increased a bit to 250 km/h (155 mph) from the previous 248 km/h (154 mph). More details on the limited edition Octavia RS will be announced on the 3rd of March, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and remain unknown at this time.
