The first rendering with the Skoda Octavia RS has recently hit the web and it might provide us with a first look into a final production version of the model.
Even if it was officially unveiled just a couple of days ago, the new generation of the Skoda Octavia RS is being placed into the spotlights once again, but not as you may have imagined. The image posted above is showing the Coupe version of the new Skoda Octavia RS and, even if the Czech based automaker didn’t announce such a version a rendering is all you need if you’re wondering what the model would look like, if it will get the green lights for production.
As a quick reminder, the new Skoda Octavia RS generation is powered by the same engine used in the new Golf GTI, the 2.0 liter TSI gasoline unit, which is good for 220 HP (162 kW), mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 6.8 seconds and top speed stands at 248 km/h (154 mph). The model is also coming with the engine from the Golf 7 GTD, the 2.0 liter TDI diesel, which is good for 184 HP (135 kW). The 0 to 100 km/h in this version takes 8.1 seconds and top speed stands at 232 km/h (144 mph).
