Skoda has recently introduced the new Octavia RS in Australia, where the cheapest version of the model is now available for order from 36, 490 AUD.
The new Skoda Octavia generation, in its regular version, has already went on sale in Australia back in November, 2013, and now time has come for the Pacific country to receive the hotter RS range too. The cheapest version of the new Skoda Octavia RS is the 162TSI Sedan, with a 6-speed manual, which costs 36,490 AUD, while the most expensive one is the Octavia RS 135TDI Wagon, equipped with a 6-speed auto, costing 41,140 AUD.
The 2014 Skoda Octavia RS is coming with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo petrol burner, rated at 162 kW and 350 Nm of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint made in 6.8 seconds, or with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo diesel, producing 135 kW and 380 Nm of torque, offering 8.2 seconds for the 0 to 100km /h acceleration. The new Octavia RS is riding on the MQB platform, developed by VW, and it’s longer and wider than its predecessor. The Octavia RS will become available to its future Australian customers this April.
