The Czech based automaker Skoda has released new teaser images with the all-new Rapid model which will be launched in Europe by the end of this year.
After it was spied just last week on a Czech highway and on the famous German track the Nurburgring, where it was being tested, the all-new Skoda Rapid is once again being placed into the spotlights, this time with the company releasing more teaser images with the model which will be slotted between the current Fabia and Octavia models. The Skoda Rapid, which is the production version of the Skoda MissionL revealed in Frankfurt last year, is already assembled and sold in India, and the model has entered production in China too, not too long ago.
Even if there aren’t any official details regarding its technical specs or engine lineup, the Skoda Rapid is expected to adopt the 1.2 liter TSI engine from the VW Group, with its 85 or 105 HP, and the 1.4 TSI with 122 HP. The lineup will be completed by the 1.6 TSI with 105 HP and by the 2.0 TDI diesel with 140 HP. The Skoda Rapid is 4,39 meters long, 1,70 meters wide and 1,40 meters tall, and on the Indian auto market the model is available with two engines, a 1.6 diesel and a 1.6 petrol, both of them developing just over 100 HP.
