A new rendering with the Skoda Rapid Spaceback has hit the web and it might provide us with another look into the final production version of the model.
The fact that Skoda is working on an estate version of the new Rapid isn’t a surprise anymore, and the model has already been spied and it has even leaked a couple of times, but what comes as a surprise is the name which will be used on it, the Spaceback, unlike its larger brother, the Octavia, which has an estate version named the Combi. The image posted above represents a rendering of the Skoda Rapid Spaceback which has been posted by X-Tomi Design (FB).
The final production version of the Skoda Rapid Spaceback is expected to get the same engine lineup as the regular variant of the Rapid, meaning that we will see the 90 HP 1.6 TDI, the 75 HP 1.2 liter MPI, the 86 HP 1.2 TSI and the 122 HP 1.4 TSI. The model will receive longer rear doors, large rear quarter windows, a sloping tailgate and some other tweaks. The Skoda Rapid Spaceback will be officially presented to the public during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
