The Czech based automaker Skoda has recently announced its plans to introduce the Rapid Sport concept at the 2013 Worthersee.
After introducing the Skoda Rapid on the Old Continent last year, where the model is currently on sale in most markets, the company is now placing the Rapid into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of the 2013 Worthersee. According to the car manufacturer, a Skoda Rapid Concept will be officially presented to the public, in a world premiere, during the Worthersee 2013. The model in question has been teased in the image posted above.
The new Skoda Rapid Sport is getting some interesting updates, like the front spoiler, the new side skirts, the large rear bumper, the carbon fiber trim, the dual exhaust system or the Corrida Red 19-inch alloy wheels. The Steel Gray-finished vehicle is also getting the Recaro seats, a sport steering wheel, some illuminated door sill plates and more. It remains unknown what engine the Skoda Rapid Sport concept will receive, but our guess is that this might be a large TFSI from the new Octavia, along with the possible AWD system, or even the one from the new Golf GTI. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment.
