The European version of the Skoda Rapid has just entered production at the company’s facility in Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic.
After starting its life a year ago as the MissionL Concept and right after that hitting the production line in Asia under the Rapid name, the all-new Skoda model is one step closer to its launch on the Old Continent. According to the Czech based automaker, the Skoda Rapid has recently entered production in Mlada Boleslav, at the company’s plant, and the model is getting ready for its debut in Europe, during the 2012 Paris Motor Show next month.

The model will get a variety of engines under its hood, including the 1.6 liter TDI with 88 HP and 230 Nm of torque or with 103 HP and 250 Nm of torque, the new 1.2 MPI with 74 HP and 112 Nm of torque, the 1.2 TSI turbocharged with 84 HP and 160 Nm of torque or 103 HP and 175 Nm and the 1.4 TSI with 121 HP And 200 Nm. The Skoda Rapid is 4,483 mm long, 1,706 mm wide and 1,461 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,602 mm.
