The new and more practical body style of the 2016 Superb, the Superb Combi, will be introduced in September, this year.
The new generation of the Skoda Superb will also give birth to a new Combi model as this will be officially introduced this September. The announcement hasn’t been made in a press release, yet, but by the company’s chairman, Winfried Vahland, who has recently spoken to the guys form IndianAutosBlog, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. According to our source, the press launch of the car will be held in July. The estate version of the new Skoda Superb will be getting a different rear end and the total boot capacity will raise from 625 liters to 660 liters and from 1,760 liters with the rear seats folded to 1,895 liters.
The 2016 Skoda Superb is riding on the MQB modular platform, made by the Volkswagen Group, and it is coming with an 80 mm longer wheelbase than its predecessor. The cabin has received improved materials and some of the goodies found on it include the panoramic glass roof, the new infotainment system, the 12-speaker Canton audio system, the tri-zone climate control and safety features include the Lane Assist, the Crew Protective Assist, the Traffic Jam Assist, the Emergency Assist and the Adaptive Cruise Control. The engine lineup in the wagon will be carried over from the regular model and it will include the petrol units producing between 125 HP (92 kW) and 280 HP (206 kW) and the diesel units producing between 120 HP (88 kW) and 190 HP (140 kW).
