The new generation of the Skoda Superb has been recently rendered in a body style which will never happen, a convertible.
Ever since it was introduced just earlier this year, the new generation of the Skoda Superb has been rendered in numerous versions and the newest one is a convertible. The model in question may become a rival for the BMW 4-Series Convertible and other models in the segment but considering the fact that it will never happen, you can keep on dreaming, if you’re a Skoda fan that is. The 2016 Skoda Superb will only be offered in its regular body style and in a Combi, with the last one being set for an unveil this autumn, in September, probably at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The new generation of the Skoda Superb is coming with an engine lineup which is rated at between 125 HP (92 kW) and 280 HP (206 kW) for the petrol burners and at between 120 HP (88 kW) and 190 HP (140 kW) for the diesel units. The cabin is getting improved materials and goodies such as the tri-zone climate control, the 12-speaker Canton audio system, the new infotainment system, the panoramic glass roof and so on. Safety features include the Adaptive Cruise Control, the Crew Protective Assist, Emergency Assist, Lane Assist and Traffic Jam Assist. The Superb is riding on the MQB modular platform and it has an 80 mm longer wheelbase compared to its predecessor.
