“Simply Clever” has been a tagline for Skoda for years now, but they’re still putting it to good use as we can see in the latest teaser for their upcoming Vision E concept.
Skoda previewed the coupe-SUV concept and its exterior beauty shots some time ago, but they are now eager to show us the spacious interior via a range of new artist renders – or digital sketches if you prefer. There isn’t going to be a conventional B-pillar so egress and entry into the Vision E should be pretty straightforward – specifically because the simply clever part includes an automatic triggering of the seats rotating outwards for an even easier movement. The seats will naturally go back to their usual position as the electric doors are closing.
The Vision E will be a proper four-seater, and its futuristic cabin eschews a multitude of physical controls, instead the minimalistic approach is based on the use of four displays, one for each person inside the cabin. A fifth one mounted in the center console will cater to the infotainment system, and there’s even a built-in phone box with inductive charging for every door panel. Skoda also mentions the Vision E seats – all of them – can be reclined, so the model must have fully autonomous technology as well. In addition, the Vision E will be powered by a fully electric setup to preview the brand’s upcoming green intentions.
