A long wheelbase version of the Skoda Yeti has been recently spotted in China where the model is getting ready to be assembled.
The Czech based automaker Skoda has big plans for its models and after talking about six new models which will make their way onto the market in the nearby future, which includes the Rapid or the new Octavia generation, it seems that a third model will be a long wheelbase version of the popular Skoda Yeti. The LWB Yeti in question has been spied in China where the model was probably getting ready to be assembled and then to be tested on public roads.
The images posted below are revealing a stretched version of the Skoda Yeti which will provide more legroom for the rear passengers. The roof of the model is also longer and we can see a large panoramic sunroof. The rear doors have also increased in length and the total gain is expected to be approximately 60 mm. The long wheelbase version of the Skoda Yeti will get a 1.4 TSI or a 1.8 TSI engine under its hood and its future customers will get to choose between the six-speed manual or the six-speed DSG transmission, which will send power to the 2WD or even to the AWD in higher spec versions. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment.
