Mercedes has launched a 513bhp, 480lb ft special edition version of the C63 AMG.
Based on the C63 AMG and limited to only 20 units, these models feature both power and visual upgrades.
As for the power, the DR520 has 520 hp hence the name with 650 Nm of torque. That is a 60 hp and 50 Nm more than the standard car. So it’s faster to 60 mph than the original car as well, as the sedan does it in 4.1 seconds and the estate in 4.2 seconds. Also both models are electronically limited to a top speed of 187 mph, as opposed to the standard 155.
The DR520 costs 9,995 pounds ($15,000 or EUR 12,200) more than the standard C63 AMG, bringing the saloon to a price of 62,430 pounds ($93,715 or EUR 76,400) and the estate to 63,680 pounds ($95,592 or EUR 77,900). Only 20 units will be produced, with the vehicles being sold exclusively through the company’s Specialist Products division at Mercedes-Benz World at Brooklands, Surrey – Now that you know the destination for the GPS, we’ll see you there.
